Timing Belts

Timing belts and timing chains are integral in keeping your car running in top order. Transferring drive from the crank shaft to the camshaft and ensuring that it is done in the correct time, are vital to your engine.

Timing belts have a service life anywhere between 4-10 years, or 50,000-125,000 miles, depending on the engine manufacturer’s specifications. Always consult your vehicle manufacturer’s data to check the service interval.

Timing chains don’t generally have a service life but do suffer with stretch and parts failure, which may bring the engine management warning light on. If either part fail, it can cause catastrophic engine damage. We only use quality O.E approved parts and will always replace any associated parts when conducting the repair, to keep your car in tip top condition.
